This is Rachel posting for Betsy.

Avery Paige was born yesterday afternoon.  She weighed 6 lbs 12 ozs and was 18 inches long.  Betsy said the labor was 1.5 hours from start to finish and Avery was born in only two pushes, the MW walked in after she was born.

Betsy was doing great and big sister Lauren was going to meet her little sister later today.

So, let's say I'm in the market for a baby carrier other than a pouch sling. Something I can use from infant to toddler. Something I'll be able to nurse in. Something I can eventually back carry in. Something I don't need three men and a boy to get into the right position, and something that won't cost a week's pay.

Also, I love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2Z6tDSb6c8

Rachel here...I just spoke to Betsy. Lauren Rose was born this morning after a very quick labor. I don't remember the exact time since I had Julia in my arms and couldn't write everything down...I believe it was around 11:30. She weighed 6lbs 13ozs (I think...my phone cut out there, may have been 14ozs) and is 19 inches long. Betsy said she is absolutely beautiful and that they are taking hundreds of pics. She sounded very tired, but so happy.

Hope that works! LOL!

Happy Thanksgiving, one and all!

Well, except for Tulles and any other Canadians or foreigners, though I don't think I have any other non-Americans on my Friends list!

So Happy Thanksgiving, one and all, except for Tulles who already celebrated her Thanksgiving! ;)
I know very little about some of the people on my Friends list. Some people I know relatively well; I read your journal, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all; perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: Why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself? Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes Office Space." (Because who doesn't like office supplies? LOL!)

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even those I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.
I just watched The Notebook. And cried for two hours straight.
Help me sell my books.

I have a ton of books. I was an English major, after all. I have pared down my collection, and have a large batch I am willing to part with.

How can I sell books?

Anyone have experience with Half.com? Selling on eBay?

Should I sell them individually (seems like a huge PITA!) or as a whole (shipping would be INSANE!), or in batches (Textbooks, Classics, moderns, Stephen King (WHY did I buy every Stephen King book EVER?))?

Any ideas?

I need help!

Our anniversary is next Wednesday, the 10th. DH has to work that day, I'm off that night.

Was planning on a nice steak dinner, bottle of wine. backed potatoes, all that good stuff.

We have baseball tickets Thursday night, and I promised DH his FAVORITE restaurant (either before or after) and hopefully getting there early enough for batting practce, which is always cool.

Anyway, he bought me a photo printer. I have been yearning for one, and though the one he found isn't tops on my list of coveted gadgets, it's certainly a million times better than what I have been working on. He asked me to look at it because I know (slightly) more about what I want than he does... So I know he spent roughly $150.

And now I am totally at a loss as to what to get him, time is running out, the apartment is a freaking disaster zone...

It's the third anniversary, which is traditionally leather, modern is chrystal (yeah, right, for a guy: chrystal).

I was thinking of getting him a new attache/brief case/notebook carrier bag thing (read: guy purse) because his current one is a mess - he spilled soda down the front of it, and the edge piping on one corner is all torn up. problem is, I bought that for him for his birthday last year (or waas it our anniversary? I forget, they are only 6 days apart.

OK, so guy gift, $150 (more or less), leather (maybe) - any ideas?
