How have the ways you used the Internet changed over the years? How did you use it ten or fifteen years ago compared to how you use it now?

I remember about 15 or so years ago, AOL had a ton of different chat rooms. Do they still have that? I used to go into them all the time. And a lot of AOL users had profiles that included their name, age, quotes, and some other stuff. That was our main techy way of communicating... IMs and chat rooms. I even remember using private chat rooms that included only close friends. Now, there's Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. If I was a high schooler right now, it'd be so hard to get homework done.

Has anyone heard of Miracle Noodles? I'm assuming the website is www.miraclenoodles.com.

No calories, no carbs. Awesome.

On a better note, I did successfully sell her infant car seat on Craigslist today.

I love that site!

Nothing but good things to say about it.

It amazes me when people let you know LESS THAN a week (even just a few days away) in advance in regards to birthday party invitations. Seriously people, the world does not revolve around you. I always send out invitations AT LEAST two or three weeks in advance because I know other people have lives and have things going on, besides work, school, family, church, etc. Oh well.

What is everyone doing for Halloween?????

Wow, hey...haven't updated in forever. Wish I was better at that. :(

I do check my friend's list quite often though.

Well, Allison turned 1 last Wednesday. I was definitely sad about that for a while but I think I'm over it....maybe. haha. She's definitely a lot more fun now. I just miss holding her all the time and nursing her a lot. Wait, did I just say that? Her pediatrician said that I could start giving her whole milk and I was all....huh??? I remember when I was so ready to be done with BFing but now, I don't want our BF relationship to end....or at least anytime really soon. Oh well.

And...I always said I'd never do this but I think I'm going to enter her in a baby contest at our local 4H fair this July. Could be fun! And maybe get a free picture? Let's hope so!

It feels like nobody is online because it's Memorial Day weekend.

Allison went to the doctor today - she weighs 15 pounds!!!!! What a moose!

That's pretty good considering she weighed 4 pounds at birth. Woo hoo. At 6 months, she's almost quadripled her birth weight.

Anybody have any home remedies to help a mom with what seems to be thrush/yeast on nipples? IT HURTSSSSSSSSSSS. And I really don't want to go to the doctor. I usually end up waiting over an hour to be seen.

So I've been thinking more about joining a mommy group - specifically the MOMS club. I'm so bad about meeting new people (at least that is my opinion...I'm friendly, at least, just shy), but I just need some IRL mom friends. I've kinda lost touch with quite a few friends. People change, I guess. Circumstances change. They still go out and drink and smoke and go to bars (at almost 30 years old), but I of course can't. Not that it bothers me. I quit doing that stuff before I became pregnant. We really don't talk anymore. I still have a few friends, but one of them lives in Louisville (two hours away) and the other works full-time and goes to visit her mom almost every weekend. I just need something where I can meet local moms who also stay at home with their children. I need to make myself do this.
