I HAVE A PLAN!
Before 7:30: Show Powers conflict analysis on French Revolution, tell him 3rd block doesn't work
1st block: AP Euro
2nd block: Sign into study hall, take Spanish test, record speaking tape #3/#4, type Physics lab, start writing Spanish paper
3rd block: Sign into study hall, visit Hamm (tell her I can't work after school), sign some money-related things for the play, work on Spanish paper, eat lunch, finish Math homework
4th block: Precalc, work on Spanish paper
5th block: Physics, try not to fall asleep, work on Spanish paper
After school: Meet with Nick for Sci Oly, call Amanda, call Lindsey

Man, I have mad scheduling skillz. I wish I didn't lose my agenda; I keep forgetting to do homework because I have nowhere to write it down.

Addendum: Never mind. It turns out that the Spanish paper isn't due until Thursday. Score.

Tonight was so much fun. I went over to Lindsey's house for movie night (although we never actually got to the movie part of the night) and Amanda came over. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time; gossiping and eating cake ice cream pretty much made my night ♥.

DEER IN HEADLIGHTS (metaphorically, that is).

Amanda: So there's some rocks on Lake Road that look like a llama..
Me: Oh, speaking of deer!

Today involved a test, an essay, studying, a quiz and three poem analyses before 9:30am. As you can probably guess, the rest of my day was patterned similarly.

My weekend is to be filled with reading and other miscellaneous "things to do":
...Collapse )

This is representative of my second quarter schedule now that the play is OVER. I still don't understand this backwards phenomenon. I really just don't.

Someone just.. I don't know. Kidnap me tomorrow (er, today.. it's 12:15).

After trying to call the adult liaison for Schroeder, the district office, Pustulka, Koeng and Goldammer, I am FINALLY getting to the board meeting tonight. My mom's leaving work early, which isn't good, especially since I called like 29304820834924 times today (which is also not good). Jesus fuck, can anything go right?

Anyone who wants to join in on the Econ chat goodness, it'll probably be starting when I get home (because naturally, the chat revolves around me.. obviously). I'm in a pretty shitty mood right now (as everyone knows) so be prepared for some hardcore studying. Besides, I need to actually PASS this time. That might be nice.

UGH WHY AM I MORE STRESSED OUT NOW THAT THE PLAY IS OVER. THIS IS MADNESS.

"HOW WE ROLL"; "studying for econ" chats

this is STEVE 87: The fed can alter the money supply by changing the discount rate. A higher discount rate sicourages banks from borrowing reserves from the Fed.
this is STEVE 87: Thus, an increase in the discount rate reduces the quantity of reserves in the banking system, which in turn reduces the money supply
this is STEVE 87: *discourages
this is STEVE 87: anyone there?
iam rick moreton: yea
iam rick moreton: im still listening

REGRETS.

I don't know what to say about regrets, really. I try to live my life by the phrase, "No regrets." It doesn't always happen; hardly, actually. But I think we waste a lot of time regretting things we did or things other people have done when we can't turn back the clock. We can't make it right from the start but we can fix things now. Regrets mean living in the past and not living for now. Regrets mean not seeing what's right in front of your eyes. (This sounds so vomit-worthingly cliche it's not even funny.)

That being said, I have regrets of my own that I'll be completely honest about. I regret not seeing what was right in front of my eyes (regretting regret?). I regret not putting myself out on the line earlier. I regret not taking risks. I regret not making new friends. I regret not getting involved sooner. I regret not learning from my mistakes quicker.

And then there's times that we have regrets but we can't seem to move past them — we get stuck in this vicious, self-sacrificing cycle that helps no one. We fool ourselves and believe ourselves stupid or unworthy or in love; sometimes we blind ourselves from other people's faults. Sometimes we don't let ourselves move on. It's important to remember people, but we can't let them haunt us.

We are our own prisoners, though.

book meme!Collapse )

The only thing this book meme says about me: I read a lot of erudite novels because school mandates it; I have no read enough of these erudite novels on my own time (except P&P); I need to read more. I'm in the process of re-discovering Tamora Pierce's novels, hurrah.

I went to the Park Avenue Holiday Open House and painted an oversized teacup seafoam green at Bisque and Brush. Then I had ganbari pitza at Sinbad's two places down, shopped at The Eleventh Hour and Parkleigh. Nighttime in the city is quite an adventure. The entire trip put me in this great holiday mood.

I am Hamm's strange indentured servitude, by the way.

The infamous neck brace!

Today we went to Rick's house and baked a cake. Or rather, Jon baked the cake (he wouldn't let me mix it). Elaina tried to fix the message on the cake since we wrote "— Jon," which made it look like Jon said "STEVE WE WANT YOUR HOTT BOD".. so she added "minus" to that.

Steve's expression when we gave him the cake.

Steve eating said cake.

For the record, Jon makes good cake, RENT was amazing, and NO AIDS. EVER.

Oh, and happy birthday, Steve.

PRIDE & PREJUDICE 2005 - PHOTOSCollapse )

Here's to some of the best kids I've ever known. I can't say it any better than Rick - "I've met so many people that I otherwise wouldn't have met, and made so many incredible new friends. There's nothing quite like it. Satisfying, too, to know that you brought so many people laughter and tears and everything in between, after working so hard to do so."

WHAT TRANSPIRED ON OPENING NIGHT/DAY:
I sold tickets during lunch. I went to class (for the most part). I fell asleep in Precalc. THE FICA TREE ARRIVED AT SCHOOL FOR ITS GRAND DEBUT. We didn't wear underwear (long story, and there are some glitches in that). I drank another guava/mango fruit tea smoothie from Earthtones. I did Jez and Steve's hair, I got caught in a spotlight on stage during a set change, my feet hurt, I couldn't go to Empire Hots after the show tonight, I made plans for post-performance tomorrow, we laughed backstage, we snapped at each other backstage, it snowed, Jon played in the snow, we made mistakes, we did it. This was our show.

I'm half-torn between capturing the past two months with the song from Flashdance or "In This Diary" (The Ataris).

COME TO OUR SHOW! We have three more performances - FRIDAY @ 7PM and SATURDAY @ 1PM & 7PM. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students & seniors.

I'm so, so tired but things have been just lovely; lovely indeed.

Rehearsal #3247687456 [06 Nov 2005|12:46am]
[ mood | sleepy ]

Here is a fairly brief recap of my day (6am until quarter to midnight):

My mom woke me up at 6am, so I showered, got some stuff together, etc. I get a call from Billy wondering where Jon is, then I call Jon and end up waking him up at 7:30 (he slept through both of his alarms).. so I assume Jon's on his way before he calls at 8am to say that he's finally on his way, in which Steve has been at Golden Boys for about a half hour. We finally got there around 8:30 after much driving. Then I spent 9:15am until 6pm trying to find the cables for mics, calling people, moving furniture (rather ineffectively I might add, kthx), checking on the rug-painting experience, checking on the sign-painting experience, organizing the showcase, singing to NSYNC songs with Jon, critiquing the quality of Jon's iPod music and getting covered in paint tape. Off we went to Bazil's, but not before switching cars about five zillion times; we tried to race Elaina but she didn't pick up her phone and we accidentally took 104 instead of going down the Ridge. Dinner, yum. Gnocchi love. Then we went to go see Saw II, but it's rated R, so there was a bit of an issue. Regal Culver-Ridge ID'ed for the movie, so the rest of us that were 15-16 bought tickets to Zorro and snuck in (omg rebels like woah - except not). It was sort of an interesting movie, although altogether lame, and I think the masks will give me strange and twisted dreams tonight.

The recap, with photos!

After arriving at Bazil's (about a minute later than Elaina) and flicking Elaina/Joe/Meghan off, Elaina decided to jump onto the hood of Jon's Jeep. Also, here are the infamous handcuffs!

Then we had to wait like 10-15 minutes for the rest of the party to get there, in which we sat on strange column-like objects and posed in various positions.

Billy, Joe and Meghan posing. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE.

See the above caption.

They really are as cool as you think they are.

It was after this photo that I decided that Jon = sexy librarian.

Jon the Sexy Librarian.

Then Rick came..

Here is the first documented photo of one Rick Moreton as a normal individual rather than a rapist-looking individual.

Self-explanatory, much.

It looks like Rick and Elaina are trying to do some crazy tango. Whee.

Sunday = 14 current events for AP Econ, a humor creative task for AP Lit, Sci Oly research, tutoring and peeerhaps some sleep.

Jezika: GIANT COCK.
Me: Heh. ORAL FIXATION.

See above caption. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE AHAHA.

Jez, smiling after a brisk jaywalk.

Jon's magnificent photo of Jez and I.. not looking at the camera. Yes. We're standing on the Rochester Public Library steps.

Uh hi ass(es).

The fire at Dinosaur BBQ that we all stood around while waiting for, like, an hour before getting seated.

I love how the only one even remotely looking at the camera is Steve.

East Ave at night. I've been there a lot lately, it feels like.

QUESTIONS:
Are you wearing underwear today?
(segues from previous) Oh, underwear.. who needs them anyways?
When are you due for your period?
So what do you wear to bed?
Are you 18?

STATEMENTS:
I'm a boyfriend stealer (paraphrased)!

Damn yoooooou, World War III; I have Jason Mraz songs stuck in my head.

HUGS AND PUPPIES,
SLLT (by the way, I still hate this nickname.. come up with something else kthx)

Therefore, naturally, I'm listening to bad rap/hip-hop music.

Yeah, so I'm grounded?

I currently have The Essential Neruda and Diplomatic Dance in my possession; I'm ahead on Spanish homework; I got lost at Nazareth College tonight.
